Fishing may take place for 55 consecutive days within each lumpfish fishing season.
Special rules for the period 1st to 20th of March:
then each landing counts as one day.
vessel can take one break from fishing lasting beyond 20th of March.
the last day to request for break is 20th of March and the requests are to be sent to grasleppa@fiskistofa.is.
on 21st of March consecutive fishing days will start to count minus the days that have already been used.
Boats that have requested a break, for them the days start counting when the boat starts fishing again.
The fishing season is as follows, both days included:
A. Faxafloi: 1st of March – 30th of June.
B. Breidafjordur 1: 1st of March – 30th of June.
B. Breidafjordur 2: 20th of May - 12th of August.
C. Westfjords: 1st of March – 30th of June.
D. Hunafloi: 1st of March – 30th of June.
E. Northern Iceland: 1st of March – 30th of June.
F. Eastern Iceland: 1st of March – 30th of June.
G. Southern Iceland: 1st of March – 30th of June.
